Miriam Golden

Political Science, UC Los Angeles


Miriam Golden is Professor of Political Science at the University of California at Los Angeles. Her research was for many years centered in Europe. More recently, she has expanded her field work to South Asia and Africa. Golden works principally on problems of political economy, especially corruption, political criminality, and electoral fraud. With four UCLA Ph.D. students, she has recently conducted a field experiment on the impact of electoral observers on electoral fraud and violence in Ghana.
